Go to a dealers and take another one out for a test drive to see if it's just yours £free!

Get a lower strut brace (std on lcrs/s3's - from your local garage) £15 and fit yourself (2 bolts!).

Then go from there.

love the car to bits(down sized from my E36 M3, too high on the "steal me list") more grin factor with this car, its just as with most VAG based motors, they can and do handle, im just a bit pissed off with how mine handles, as in it feels scary on cornering and i dont have any faith in it, thanks for the link though, much appriciated mate.

So you are used to rear wheel drive?
Then the the natural lift-off oversteer of a fronty is certainly going to take a while to get used to. Your M3 probably did the opposite, right?

point! squirt! hold on!
i have had a lot of front wheel drive cars(please forgive me for what i now say--) 3 mk3 cav sri's, 1 gsi 16v, 1(please forgive me) mk 3 escort rs turbo in white, 1 saab 900 turbo 16v s.1 6 month driving ban!! so as you can see, im used to the front wheel drive cars with a bit of poke, i just love the rear wheel of the beemer. most of my cars have been FWD cars

on a slightly different thing- if you all think the LC & LRC's guzzle fule, the M3 didnt have a fuel MPG gauge in the clocks, just on oil pressure gauge, bmw think that if you need to know what your getting to the gallon, you cant afford an M3, stuck up :w4nk:'s

Poor dampers are a huge reason that the Cupra feels so on edge. I've got a rear arb to go on at the weekend, which im expecting big things from, but i fitted Eibach Springs and Dampers to mine a couple of weeks back and the difference is stunning. It still rolls too much, but nowhere near as bad as it did.

The big difference for me is the amount of power i can actually put down now... i was sick of hitting very very slight crests when it was standard and either have the traction control kick in or the rear end going wobbly... this just doesnt happen now, its sooo well damped and predictable. The rear end doesnt squirm around and as a whole it feels 500% better.

I can really go into fast corners committed without the worry that one illplaced bump or ridge in the road is gonna upset the rear end and scare the s**t out of me... it just doesnt happen anymore because the car hits the bump, deals with it, then carries on, instead of hitting it then bouncing around screaming for attention like a 2yr old :D

 for the info about your problem, fairly close to mine, so i think its a case of new front and rear ARB's and maybe a new set of shocks/springs as well, if you say that it made that much of a difference to your motor:think:
