Tell me more about MAF sizing and what is recommended for the 3071R. I've got a MOFO (75mm IIRC ) but 86-92 is way bigger. I'm just about to do inlet piping so need to know what to get. Would have been 3" all through until now.

Hooch is the car running again now, whats your impressions.

Octy running similar spec turbo runs S4 maf housing..

Ibiza ran the same, but max'd the sensor - 3" intake
new tubby is 4" intake but thankfully no more cr4ppy MAF's for me to worry about now standalone. :D

i am wondering if standalone ecu type outputs on aux output would allow flexible setup of a haldex controller.. which are available as standalone units, or fixing rear bias hydraulically like SQS controllers.

had a small problem today but nothing much. split a coolant hose haha, the one that goes from stat housing to bottom rad connection. 2nd one to split, it was still rubbing even after i took extra care to make sure it wasnt :(

i got hold of a mk4 golf one. suits the ibiza much better imho

ive noticed the water temp guage sits just under 90degree. i think the stat may be jamming open as i noticed a load of junk settling in my header tank. must be rebore debree

heading over to essex tomorrow for sum 1/4mile action. not expecting great results as the maf/map issue isnt sorted but at least i get to use the car :D only covered around 600miles since build

right then, went to north weald for 1/4mile practise and i made it all the way there, 5 runs and all they way back. that was an achivement in its self :D

i did loads of 2nd gear spinning due to a very slippy strip and crappy prada tyres. the big flat spot was very annoying and i feel it held me back.

worst time of the day and was my 1st run was 13.8 sec

best quater mile time was 13 dead

and the biggest brag of the day which to me indicates i can get much better times is i got 124mph terminal speed. if you dont know how fast that is put it this way...

the fastest car of the day was the usual mk1 4wd golf running 10.8 1/4's he was getting 130mph terminal so i was 6mph behind a 10second car....av that!! 4wd here i come lol

all in all i had an awesome day with no horrers

a happy HoocH :D:):D

yea, yoko's. i think they are crap. wainting for r888's

i cant see a problem getting 12's with the right tyres and a finished map.

alot of people were saying there cars seemed to produce slower times on that 1/4mile compared to santa pod. it was abit bodge but everyone makes excuses lol

ive got sum vids also :)
