Im addicted to this thread. I wish I was a young school lad again so I could idolise this car, its kind of making me feel sad and weird that Im loving the pics of it so much! Really must see more of it and most of all see it when its done.

So anyway mate if you dont mind me asking how much has this set u back so far mate? and how much you reckon when its done?

Unfortunately due to a change of jobs i havnt been able to spend too much time on the car recently, but have done a few bits and bobs,

Why is it in LHD if you dont mind me asking?

1) try getting a RHD WRC spec rack and see how far you get! lol
2) the "hotside" of the engine (exh/turbo etc) is on the rhs, so making it LHD means i can run a nice big exhaust tunnel down the navigators side of the floor pan without messing up the driving position etc
3) tilting the engine over towards the rhs of the car lowers the heavy exh manifold and turbo, and raises the light Cf intake and plenum so that i can package the pedal box underneath (cause i am a lanky git!)
4) most of the cars i drive on track etc are LHD, so i am more "dialled in" to Lhd position

I got a link to this topic via a Dutch site and just wanted to say what a great project this is!
Currently I'm working on an project myself but with an Impreza instead of a Ibiza.
And also not at this level of building unfortunatly.

Another reason to sign up was to get in contact with Paul as I wanted to ask him some things which maybe he can answer, him having worked at Prodrive and all.
But I can't seem to contact him, no email or private message option show up?

So if you want and have the time, can you send me an email Paul? (I enabled the email thingy in my profile.)
I have a few issues that you probably can help me with if you want.

Keep up the good work on the Ibiza, I will keep following the progress.
