Not sure on the actual lights £100 ish maybe got them s/h in chrome so stripped them and made the hole bigger for the hids, then sprayed them black.
The rings were about £25 on ebay

so you made them yourself?! I've seen some on ebay that are already done, don't know what to think of them though, it's quite a bit of money to part with if they're not very good!

I bought angel eyes in chrome.
I installed the CCFL rings as the leds were not as bright as i wanted, these are really bright in daylight, eat that BMW driver lol

They are good and give far better light especially when using a hid kit.

haha i can imagine! love the brightness of everyones lights, hate the attempted "done-up" cars that black the lights out so that you can't even see them brake or indicate! dangerous stuff

yeah its majorly annoying

think i will stick some silicone in too :p

What did you do in the end? This is why mine havent been fitted yet.

You could use the original bulb holders but cut the back out as they seem to have the same fixtures as the clear plastic cover that usually goes over the bulb.

i threw them away. got pulled over every night i had the full units in because you can see them when you are behind the car.

the standard bulb holders, the light is recessed in a bit, whereas these units arent for the mk1 leon, so they arent recessed.

was warned one more time and its points.

i tried that... cut them apart and got down to the board which is mounted on metal, its too long to fit in the original holder :(

just going to get some LED bulbs that will take the spikes to 14v

All,

I bought 2 pairs of these number plate LED's from the following website: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1pc-Festo...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2ebbf9a7f1

Dont bother getting them from here as they ALL failed around a month. Flickering/'blown'.

Thank you to the origional poster for the follwoing link:

My question is, are these Canbus safe as in they do not trigger a warning light on the dash?

Feedback much appreciated. Cheers!
