Good choice in picking the Ring xenon max bulbs I think that they are the best out of the +% type bulbs and give very good light output:)

Sounds good jezyg - if you can get some pics up, would be great to see how the lights look on.
Thats if you can get out of your new Car, since you are picking it up on Saturday! :)

Will do if Ian G does not beat me too it first mod when I get the car back from London!! Paid £13:95 + £1:95 postage off of Ebay so good value as well. Sidelights are more for show but at £1.99 + £1:50 postage seemed quite good value.

Excellent. Well through the 5..... 6 pages of this Thread, we've probably gone through all the major players, and now have it down to a few decent bulb sets. Look forward to further details on these Xenon Max's... :)

Regarding sidelights, I've come across a set of "diffused" 501 LED's, that emit a high intense beam which provide a larger glow area than other LED bulb option. Plan to buy a set shortly and report back results with Pics (if they are any good).

Great! These look promising.
They are also mentioned quite highly, in the AutoExpress Bulb review that I read recently.

It will be nice to find a WHITE set of bulbs, as the general Bulb trend appears to be White-ish, with alot of Blue!

Here's some pictures of the Xenon Max Bulbs and as you can see they aren't white/blue like the Mtec's but the light output is very good.

If you are going to look at buying them Please make sure you are buying the current +100% version and not the older +90% as there may be some of these still floating around on Ebay etc. and there is a noticeable difference of light output.

I got mine from http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk

And i've fitted the H7 dipped, H1 Main Beam and the HB4 fog-lights (These are for the facelift Leon) the sidelights are Philips Bluevisions

I originally fitted them in October 2009 and should have left them in rather than messing around with the now useless Mtec bulbs. I've also tried the Philips Xtreme Power and Osram Nightbreakers and whilst very good I personally think the Ring's just edge it.

Picture with sides and Xenon Max +100% H7

Now with sides, dipped and HB4 fog-lights

and finally sides, dipped, fogs and H1 main beam

And just in case anyone mentions it I know i have a slight amount of condensation which is hardly surprising with all the bulb changing lately:roflmao:

It says the Philips diamond vision 5000k are not EU legal, how likely are you to be stopped??

Would you be better with the Philips Blue vision 4000k that are legal? Does anybody have the blue vision fitted and an opinion?
