Gearknob surround

On the MY03 LC's there is a surround (titanium coloured) that holds the gaitor on however on mine it has lifted up (at one corner), is this common or is it a warranty job.

And does anyone know how it is fastened down (glue, clips etc)

plastic clips which break all too easily. After the new gearknob was fitted by dealer on mine I noticed one of the plastic clips was knackered .

A bit of careful manhandling from either the front or the rear will get it off.

both my clips are broken but nout i can do about it tbh - they will blame me as i fitted new gearknob. It wasnt me tho..... Well, not BOTH of them..
