Got in the car last night when I got kicked out the pub.

Started it up and the red light by the temp gauge stays on and flashes with some beeps... after about 5 mins fcuking about in the dark looking for user manual and stuff to find out what it might be I found that the coolant reservoir was a bit low (only just under min mark, so no big deal).

Anyway I topped it up to the full mark with some volvic that I luckily had lying about in the back of the car.

The manual says use G12 coolant at 40% (or upto 60%) and if you top up with water get the mixture sorted asap afterwards...

Am I right in thinking that means if there was a big fluid loss, and I don't need to worry as I only added about 1/4 litre of water.

Do I need to get some G12 (whatever that is) coolant to put in, or will it be ok? (assuming the level don't go down again).

Keep your eye on it obviously and look for crusty red/orange coloured residue for leaky joint somewhere. Topping up min to max won't affect the mix enough to worry about (unless you're in Siberia)

Could just be a faulty sensor, I've had 2 in mine now and soon to be 3...
