hi peeps
we have crafta vans at work only 109bhp but talked my boss into a remap but its happened 3 times now the tick over goes up to 1000rpm for a few minutes then its fine any ideas? i know its a van but the engines carnt be much different

A very vauge question mate, the revs rise when? cold hot? when you turn the a/c on or lower the electric windows? it might just be compensating for a voltage drop, but whats that got to do with a remap?

Dodgy coolant temp sensor would be my first guess...

Needs a fault code scan really.

sorry i was vauge, carnt tell you the temp as it hasnt got a gauge but im sure its up to operating temp and it hasent got a/c and when its happened ive not been using anything electrical. Ive only noticed this since the remap didnt know if it was something the remap had done or if it was normal and just not noticed it before.

Yes, but if the temp sender is sending incorrect temp readings back to the ECU, it can give you odd idling problems, that's one of the symptoms.

You need to get it scanned for fault codes.
