When using my front washers I noticed a third jet spraying at the screen from under the scuttle so thought I'd do a quick DIY of how to repair the tools and parts required.
Tools
13mm socket and wrench
Phillip's screw driver
Flat head screw driver
Penetrating oil ie plusgas
Pliers to cut cable ties
Hoover, sponge and water for cleaning
Parts
5mm ID (inner diameter) washer hose
5mm OD (outer diameter) in line hose connectors.
2x very small cable ties
Word of warning, this is a simple job but as these cars are getting on now and these plastic parts will be becomming more brittle so take care not to break anything that ensures water stays out of the interior.
Guide
1. Whilst bonnet is open remove caps on the wiper arms with a flat head and undo the 13mm nuts.
2. Close bonnet, wiggle wiper arms whilst they are laying flat left to right very carefully to free them off then lift up the arm and pull upwards of the spindle. Use penetrating oil on thread if really stuck (photo 1)
3. Open the bonnet again and remove the two screws on the scuttle (passenger sode) that cover the pollen filter. Pull out the plastic part carefully
4. You should now be able to lift up the scuttle carefully and on the underside access the washer hose. It is held in place by 2 cable ties which need to be cut. The washer hose then pulls out of the rubber connectors that link to the underside of the washer jets.
5. Replace 5mm ID hose with 2 new 5mm OD hose connectors and use new cable ties to secure in place
6. Test washers work and dont leak
7. Give everything a clean with a hoover or wet sponge to remove any debris that could block drain holes.
8. In reverse order refit parts in steps above
5th photo is the hose you can probably buy from the dealers with inbuilt connectors but I imagine it's more than buying the parts that cost me £3 from halfords.
6th photo is just a reminder of the rain water drip trays under the scuttle
