are your wheels 7J?
if so 195's are fine, esp 50 profile, as it will work out more or less same side well height as a 195/45 on 6.5J :)

I have 7J rims but no matter what size the rim is the tyre is going to be the same diameter and width lol.... the problem is now I can't have anything more than a 45 profile. And after reading a for reviews on the Kumho's I want them! lol

Both the Kumho and Hankooks have good ratings compared to the Yoko's and Toyo's and since they aren't as well knew company I think it's a right bargin now! Blessing this could be now :)

what do you mean 45 profile dave

195/50 = 97.5mm
205/45 = 92.25mm
(each sidewall)

so thats an extra 10mm

I mean by 195/45 or 205/45

Going to see if the garage would take back my Toyo's (I know the owner) and order some Kumho V70A's.... reading that the GT3 boys are loving these tyres over A048 or R888's

I'd guess it's the profile that's the prob yeah, i'm sure the profile also contributes to the width of the tyre aswell (ie) 205/55 will be wider than 205/45 tyre, i think it's something along those lines anyhow.

I'll check the offset of my OZ's when i'm at work 2moz and let you know, the higher/lower offset is one thing i've never understood

*Just had a thought*

Martin is running 205/45's on his Super T's and there a 35 offset, no spacers on them either so i would guess you'd be fine

what width are the wheels dave?
craig aka cruiser is running 205's on super turismo's 7J and he only gets scrubbage on the arch full lock
i wouldn't run 205/55

what were you running before?

yeah the smaller the ET, the closer to the centre it is!

i think it's the tyres causing the problem

Yep Im running 205/45 Kuhmos on my Oz Super T's and since I raised the car slightly on coilovers I only get a tiny bit of rubbing on full lock at the front and thats it, not running any spacers or anything.

The tyre garage said they can send the toyo's back as long as they haven't had any load on them! Which they don't as they didnt fit the car lol.

So placed an order for the Kumho V70A!

Have heard the hankooks are a very good all rounder for dry and wet use!

Looks like your having a change of plan now Dave, for reference my OZ's are an ET37 just incase ;)

Nice one, since I have ET35 the 3mm spacers would bring it to ET38 so think I will get some tidy eibach ones if I need them. You have much of a grip from the suspension strut on 205/45 16 with ET37???

Think I could gett away with 2mm less than u?

crezz is right dave, you take it away, as it takes it further away from the hub! (closer to the centreline of the wheel)
so ET32
