Already asked them. No one sells them separately, only in sets. And I'm not paying £120 ish for 2 pipes, a coupler, clamps etc..when all I need is an S bend pipe

Lol ok! Well.. S bend pipe from Josh (which he got from darkside) appeared a little too big..so I've cut it down, a little at a time. Guess what.....

It's now no good as it's not long enough to go over cooler & coupler!! So I'm back to bloody square one!! :( :( had to re fit my bodged pipe again!! :(

Messaged china seller asking how much for just an S bend pipe. I know I've fu***d up and am a **** for shortening the pipe. So I don't need anyone else telling me lol :(

How short is it. I purposely cut mine short and stretched the hose, I did this to reduce the bend and allow better flow.

It's literally an inch too short Sam.. We did try stretching it..but then it started pulling the coupler out of the metal boost pipe on the car. I shouldn't have rushed it..shouldn't have done it out the back of work etc.
I could have another go on Wednesday on my day off...see if I can get it too stretch anymore.

No need to cut it if you slide it all the way on to the intercooler, perfect fit.

Lots of logging done tonight. Significant reduction in IAT's and an increase of 4g/s on peak MAF reading.

Ambient temp 15 degrees c for both pre and post intercooler upgrade runs

Same route logged from start to finish on both runs, same manner of driving on same sections of road for consistency.

Original
Peak IAT logged whilst driving (excluding stationary): 31 degrees C
Most common/frequent/normal IAT (giving it some abuse at moderate speeds : 27-28 degrees C
Lowest temp (off boost) : 21 degrees C
Highest temp recorded whilst stationary (few minutes idle before switching engine off): 40 degrees c

China Cooler

Peak IAT logged whilst driving (excluding stationary): 23 degrees C (when giving it some at lower speeds)
Most common/frequent/normal IAT (giving it some abuse at moderate speeds: 16-18 degrees C
Lowest temp recorded (off boost): 13 degrees C
Highest temp recorded after 280 seconds idling: 35 degrees c

Can not be bothered to try and graph the data as i have so much of it with lots of back to back runs from V. low to V. high speeds.

Data aside, the car feels great, very worthwhile upgrade for the K03, i bet the gains are even bigger for the K04 boys.

I had spotted them dan, cheers! I've messaged the china seller twice now asking for a price on just the S bend pipe. He's probably sat laughing after I left him neutral feedback lol. Karma's a bit*h lol!! I'll message that eBay seller just asking for S bend pipe. Cheers dan :)

Yeah when we get the right f**king coupling

Chill Batman!:p

Guessing you have the type E on order? Just be glad you bought one of the first ones, the same seller now has them up at £240 and the couplers are still wrong! It'll be worth it in the end :)

the china couplers didnt fit no where near.........i brought a creation motorsport C type coupler that didnt fit, eventually brought a E type coupler that was a perfect fit.

Is this a hard part to fit? Any thing that needs to come off or parts needed apart from better couplers?

No it's all fine apart from the coupler, and some screws to pull the intercooler forward aswell
So its relatively straight forward? I was planning an rs4 next summer but just bought a new house so keeping the Leon for a few more years. Decided to get some more power to keep me amused haha
