Freetrack 2.0 TDI timing

Hi everyone, I had a quick look under the timing cover today and I think the timing might be off? The sprockets seem to be at the end of their adjustments? The images I've seen look they should be in the middle? I was wondering if this could explain the excessive cranking and the lack of low down power/torque? Thanks
