WOW awesome, lol, id nearly leave my car in if I thought they were lending me that for a few days.. result! :D

The only downside is when you get your car back it will be a bit of a comedown, I know the FR TDi will be nice mapped but a 307bhp Ed 30 Golf does eclipse it a little.

to be honest no! the golf is better suited to a track its not that easy to drive any quicker than my leon 1st & 2nd are just a waste of time although the chasis does cope with the power just about its drivability on the road is a bit limited at times dont get me wrong in a straight line yes it is very fast but around the tight bends no real difference to the leon and the biggest downside of all 20.5 mpg!!!!!!!!!

got the car back on tuesday afternoon and was told they have had to decrease the power slightly to 199bhp and 402lb torque the bhp doesnt really come in to it but the torque does they have nearly taken half of what they originally gave me and its all from between 2 & 3000 revs which has made a vast difference . any thoughts on what i should do would be appreciated !

do you mean 402 nm of torque. If they have advertised a fiqure and you purchased the software on that premise and if they cannot deliver them fiqures you should be able to get all your money !

I have also chipped my FR,170bhp TDI with a JD chip.
It should get my to 200bhp/420nm, and it is indeed much faster

Haven't got it on the dyno yet, because i'am waiting for a full exhaust fitted without the DRF  When the axhaust is installed and the custom remap for it i will run a dyno

The only thing a notice is on topspeed when the ambient temperature is reasonbly high ;)..., the last 5km/h on topspeed are going with a sort of jojo effect. I mean that it stop pulling..., start pulling again..., stop pulling, etc. We thing this is caused by the DRF getting to hot making the sensor restrict the boost pressure through the electronics, then it becames within the range, it pulls again, becomes to hot again, etc.

Hoppefully without the DRF this problem is gone

This is why I went fo the soft torque profile cos the engine temp would get too high at sustained speed and revert to safe mode until eng temp dropped ["going with a sort of jojo effect" SS at Swindon did explain this to me at the time hence going for the soft torque prifile]

I had mine superchipped via the obd port the day after it came out a few weeks ago.
did a rolling road before and after, power is up from 174bhp to 209bhp.
Its a vast improvement, its as the car should have been from the factory!
The only problem ive had is the dpf clean cycle trips in more frequently now, which smells a bit and the revs go up to 1k on tick over, and also a very slight blip in third when changing from 2nd quickly but thats probably the ESP kicking in.
Overall no major problems at all.
Highly recommended!!

Just wanted to say jonnyash I feel for you man :headhurt: Watch a bitch to be played around like that I hope things are moving forward no wonder you wanna f**k it off!!!! I've ordered mine and well peed off with waiting for it now. Seat want to get there act together as everyone on here seems to have waited just as we want a few options. My dealer does however say that they are working on a remap but having reliability problems for now, I've read allot about remaps going wrong on these seems the drf is the main demon. Would love to get mine chipped when I get it had my S3 remapped by Audi when I had that and it was a new animal! Cant wait to get mine been driving the girlfriends KA removing toys from the windows for nearly two years! lol Keep up the story it will be interesting to see how you get on, it's something i'm considering once a few miles are on the clock :funk:

Hi,
BHP has gone from 174bhp@4480rpm to 209bhp@4533.
Torque has gone from 350nm@3100 to 420nm@3300.
Cost £550 with rolling road before and after.
Had it done at Well Lane turbo centre in Batley via the obd port, took about 2 and half hours all in.
Nice efficient and friendly service, they also said that they would take it off again for £60 if need be.
Bluefin was not available a few weeks ago.
Rich.

I emailed Constantin at Superchips last week asking about Bluefin for the 170 remap. He said he was "not aware of any plans for Bluefin on this model".

I for one would def want the Bluefin option- if it causes the probs poor jonnyash has encountered I'd want to be able to remove it until I could get back to Superchips to get it sorted.... hopefully

looking at the above posts it looks like superchips would have a few sales if Bluefin was available. I tend to think therfore there must be a technical issue still to be resolved, any ideas?

I'd agree from what I've read around the net and as said my dealer is still having problems and won't remap as it's not 100% reliable. Might ask them who they use? Still a little worried about warranty issues although feel a bit better from what I've read but again would like to approach the dealer yet I'll bet each one is different on what they will do? Who else as seems to be the case thinks problems revolve around the DRF?
