Alright chaps I'll get straight to the issue; I'm interested in a FMIC and kit. My car is a mk4 ibiza 1.9 fr tdi pd130.

Airtec kit for £495 seems ideal, also the fact I could pay finance is a plus. The problem is the pipe work in this kit doesn't go right up to the EGR. Not to worry I thought I'm sure there a piece hat will couple nicely with this and then go into the EGR.

I've trawled numerous threads and forums from days gone by and nobody ever mentions this? Does anybody know of a nice easy fitting piece that I won't have to mess around with which will directly replace the plastic top pipe and fit the egr as well as joining the airtec tubing?

The easiest option I see after this is to buy a pipe work kit from darkside developments for £290 (my criteria) and then buy a FMIC separate (seen online for £140). The DD kit has appeal as it goes right up to the EGR.

In an ideal world I would buy the airtec kit on a years finance to balance the books with other half ("do we really need to be spending so much on this?")and buy a separate piece which would replace the shocking plastic top boost tube and route the the egr!

Look forward to the replies cheers

I used to have a universal fmic from toyosport and I was constantly buying new bits to complete the pipe work and even after that it was very long pipe runs with risk of lots of boost leaks due to the amount of joins, I had pipes blowing off at just 1.6 bar. I'd definitely go airtec for the money, after everything I spent and the headache from the toyosport I wish I had just got the airtec straight away, the way I saw it was airtec for £500 or universal for ~£300, it didn't work out like that after every other bit I had to buy plus the time to install it etc...then having to worry about pipes coming off.
I'm running the airtec set up now at 2.2 bar with no problems, I'm using the airtec intercooler with the full darkside hard pipe kit, fits perfectly and I've kept my egr valve, airtec don't sell the pipes separately so they're quite hard to get hold of so you get a lot of interest when selling, I sold the airtec pipes (not including the mounting brackets) for £120 on eBay
