Valeo will definitely be doing some official flatblades for Ibizas (for the 2002> model) with correct adaptors to retrofit onto the standard hook arms. No news on availability yet, but the Left Hand Drive versions are beginning to appear on the continent.

Thanks

Bosch Aerotwins are now creeping onto ebay at just over 20 quid a pair. Would need to email the sellers first though as they are definately different in LHD and RHD configurations.

Just been in touch with a seller from ebay www.wipex.co.uk. They will be getting Bosch AeroTwins to fit the standard Leon arms in 3 weeks. They have the blades in stock but are waiting for specific adapters to fit the Leon. Excellent!

I was thinking that but don't have the time to sort one. Anyone willing?

Here's the e-mail I received from them today:

"Hi to be honest I don't have a price guide at the moment because the Bosch/Valeo ones are not even available in the UK yet for RHD vehicles and they can't say when they will be. This is why we are actually tooling the blade ourselves so that it will be a universal hook fiitting to fit many other vehicles too.

I will keep you updated on our progress.

Thank you

Once we can source them and we know they fit a GB will be best and easy - will sort something out once released then.

I see they advertise them for the GolfMk4 on ebay - which is the same as the Leon I believe ?

As far as I know the Golf MK4 ones will be too long on the passenger side. Thats the problem people are having when they retro-fit the newer aero arms, they have to trim the wiper or cut a section out of the passenger side arm. Also, the ones on e-bay are not designed to fit a standard wiper arm, they will only fit on the newer style aero arms. The blades I'm after are designed to fit onto the old style arm.

Wasnt sure if it was down to the arms being too long (someone mentioned if you cut a small section from the arm they fit perfect) or the blades when fitting the kit from the new Golf/Audi.

Didnt think any Mk4 Golf's came with Aero wipers thats why if they fit the normal wiper Mk4 Golfs they should fit a Leon - just a though I wanted to clear up.

Very late mk4 golfs (sept '04 onwards) were fitted with Flat blades - Bosch supplied.

Here lies the problem, these Golfs and Boras take different wiper arms to older Golfs etc. The Bosch Aerotwins and Valeo equivalents should connect to your existing wiper arms BUT are only made in LHD formats at the moment as far as anyone can see. As in my post above there are sellers on ebay with these wipers advertised but they are either LHD wipers or more likely modified late Golf wiper blades, which may attach to normal wiper arms.

Can't wait..

Does any one have a problem with the wiper on the passenger side, leaving a smear after squirting with screenwash and a wipe cycle?

Is there some adjustment to the arm is needed, or will the aero wiper blades cure this?

I have changed the original wiper to bosch super, then to some cheapy £3 blades and they ALL smear, although the cheap blades are better?!?!

Anyway to get a cure?

I am using PIAA silicon wipers at the moment and don't have problems.

p*ssed off now - the damn passenger wiper is leaving a HUGE chunk of windscreen untouchched - about 2inches from the end of the blade, about 3inches wide.... wtf?
Thats the 3rd blade to do the same thing???? Is it something else?
