So yes they are "stick on" and...... i can see what people mean about them for being small badged keys..... my 2008 58 key has a bigger "s" badge on the back than that one!

lol while were on the subject of sad little things, you know the cupra R has an R badge on instead of the S, well fear not Big Badge'd FR owners, you can now get an FR Badge for your key fob: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SEAT-FR-KEY-FOB-BADGE-LEON-IBIZA-CUPRA-R-RARE-/300532698548

lol wont fit on mine, i have a small badge :D

I'm disappointed, I think the white FR one looks gash, and don't fancy the backlash getting a cupra one for my FR might just cause!

 AT "BACKLASH" I reckon the Cupra lettering will come off reral easy with a bit of T-cut or maybe some nail polish remover, then it will just be plain carbon. As a none Cupra owner myself I would like a carbon one but the Cupra lettering is a bit "wannabe".

ditto, shame i dont own any cupra badges or any standard bumpers :D but Lee might be onto something, might get an FR back and a cupra front, that way it wont say Cupra on the back

thats strange because I have 58 plate as well and mine has small S badge on the remote.... around 10-12mm in diameter.... whats the size of the larger one?

EDIT:
uhh I see what you mean now- it looks like mine is bigger than in pictures... hm still I think hole should be big enough to see S through it.

The original badge comes off pretty easy... just use a stanley blade or something similar to pick the edge up and peel it off.

Heres a few pics of the newer style flip key so you know what these covers are designed to fit over. The LED is on the top corner opposite to the button to flip the key out.

Just to add... this new key doesnt have a screw under the badge on the back to split it open, i checked that yesterday. The battery cover comes off easily enough but i couldnt work out how to split the rest of the key open.

Mine must be one of the older style keys, the LED is located in the middle of the fob just to the right of the boot open button. Assuming the case will still fit, but you just wont see the LED flash anymore.

As for big badge / small badge, id always considered this one small, but it measure approx 14mm dia.

Can you get the smaller badged flip key casings anywhere? Like eBay?

I would say size of the badge is still the same but logo is smaller so those metal badges sold on ebay should be compatible... but thats just judging from the photos.
