Flat Spots While Drivin

Im getting lots off this flat spots while drivin my 110 tdi seat leon ive had it remapped to 140 and now, and seems to blows a little bit more black smoke than usally it did, when been driven hard and experiencing lots of flat spots it mainly happens when i let go off the accelerator and then tap it again, does the maf need replacing help :confused:

to do a quick test, lift airbox lid and blank off half the inlet mesh on maf with sturdy tape, then drive it. if its sorted, new maf reqd. if not look elsewhere.... can be left on short term til parts avail:)

Alright mate.I had a similar problem with mine(110 tdi)...changed the maf a couple of days ago and the car is running perfectly again:thumbup:

Hello

I have a 110 er and just woundering what a flat spot is like???!!?

I don't think I have any but just woundered what to watch out for.

no need for all that, just remove the plug to the MAF if it runs better it's duff, if not it's something else, IF there are a lot of miles on the clock I would look at the EGR:)
