visited dave in thetford today. he pointed out that the person who had revo'd it in scotland (not going to mention any names) didn't appear to no what he was doing and was a bit over boost happy and this causing the car to back up through heat soke. so dave (revo dealer) sorted out all the previous revo mistakes and uploaded revo stage two. now it goes alot better but not hitting silly top end speeds like 150mph. really happy with the results. all i need now is a free flow cat and induction kit

Youre only meant to go for Stage 2 if you have 4bar FPR, DP & Cat done also.

Std cars will easily do 140+. its just the time it takes to get there!

If the car was set up in the winter time, or when it was cold then it's not wrong to put the boost a little higher. Ibiza's really suffer in the heat though, the IC is dire.

Good point? Shouldn't just stick stage 2 on for no good reason. Esp. if you don't have cat and defo without 4 bar fpr.

If boost was too high a quick wiggle of an SPS3 would sort that, same with timing.

Kev, is it possible for REVO to be "put on wrong" in the first place?

No, not unless a completely different ECU code was flashed on... in which case the car is unlikely to even start.

Settings can be set very differently though, there's no be all end all. Having said that we do recomend default settings to dealers if they don't set the car to optimum by datalogging it...

what is a 4 bar fpr? why should't you hav revo stage two without it?? plans to get free flow cat in a couple of weeks though. (need to find out the diameter of the pipe needed to order it!)

You need a 4bar fuel pressure regulator as revo stage 2 requires more fuel, the 3bar FPR cant cope.

The CAT is part of the DP (Down pipe), you can buy replacement DP's that include race-cat's. Miltek, Blueflame and A&M all do them.

Plus these DP's are larger and flow better, compared to the standard DP.

Dont think so, i think its about £70 to buy and 5 minutes to fit.
