Flashing oil light beeps no codes oil fine?

Hi friends HELP. Was driving home car running great, suddenly oil/pressure light starts flashing and three loud beeps. Couldn't stop immediately due to roundabout. Light went off stopped. No codes. Oil level almost normal. Drove home. 7 miles and it came on again just as I pulled in. Any thoughts?

Yes, maybe blocked pick up tube. I would take off the carter and check the oil pump also.

Agree with what the other lads have said. Fairly easy job to remove the sump on these cars. Clean or replace the pick up pipe, common problem if oil changes have been neglected or sealant has made it's way into the sump. Low oil pressure doesn't set a code.

you could do a oil engine flush but it can be risky sometimes, i did it on mine first time in 2011 but not done it since.. i used a forte engine flush as it was used in the industry then

OK outcome was a failed oil pressure sensor, allowing a little oil into the sensor and throwing out duff readings. Switch changed all ok! Phew
