Welcome to the site, what colour is the "R"?, as to mods it depends how much you want to spend, i would start with the dump valve many on here go for the Forge 007, then air filter and maybe a new TIP, then the remap, then exhaust, Arbs then the suspension, everyone has a different opinion as the order but that's mine.

thesmith11: Hey, I'm also new here, but have done some upgrades until now... "Phillc" gave you a good advice, but I had upgraded the look at 1st - 19" wheels, K&W suspension, Candy white colour [B)] , engine cove cloud over, and then the engine - MTM upgrade, K&N filter, and now the titanium Scorpion exhaust waiting in my garage.
But as was said, it depends on how much money you can spend on it...

best things to help us best answer your question is:

1. what power are you aiming for

2. what is your budget

both of those questions typically go against each other, as people want i.e. 300bhp but there budget is usually very short of what it actually costs to reach this sort of power

the list is endless......

let us know and the regulars on here are then better placed to say what you can get for your budget, or a realistic cost of what you need to reach your ideal power target

Can I be devil's advocate? You might've already considered this...

Maybe only choose mods that can be removed & replaced with the OE items so that your car is 'standard' once again when you come to sell, cos it seems there's two fundamentals to consider before adding performance kit to a LCR:

1) Yes, it's excellent when you've a modded car &, for example, you leave some arrogant twat in a M3, or similar, for dead cos he assumes your standard-looking LCR is slower than his M3. Yeehah! :D

2) But it’s a tad gutting when at a later date you want to sell your modified LCR, & you a) struggle to get any interest cos the average punters stay away in droves cos they assume that any modded car is actually a thrashed boy racer's toy. And b) you car might have actually, in effect, lost £1000s in value due to the mods.

Also, don't automatically assume that there'll surely be at least some enthusiasts who'll gladly pay for a car that's 'already had all the work done'.

If you take the 'removable mods' option, then come sale time you have the potential to sell the kit 2nd-hand, while you’re left with an A1-condition/maintained standard LCR that'lll have loads of peeps waving big wads of £££s at you. :funk:

BTW, no offence intended to folks that modify their LCRs/LCs. :)

lol none taken;)

although with people like me, chasing the bigger figures, having "removable" mods is near impossible, in regards to exhaust, turbo etc.

would be a complete pig of a job to take it all off and return it back to "standard". it is achieveable of course, just for non mechanics like me, it would sure take some effort and of course, cost!!

good and valid point though

Very true, guess I was thinking more along the lines of mega 'wooshy' DVs, remaps, glam-looking induction kits, fruity-sounding back-boxes, RS4-type rims & lowered suspension etc.

BTW, ta for the compliment. :)

You should be able to get to about 275 BHP for about £600 depending on how well your car reacts to the mods you fit.
See my sig for my mods and BHP

It all depends on budget , 400 quid will see 275 bhp with remap , filter and dv. an extra 800 will see a FULL zorst ( 285 bhp ) then your turbo becomes the bottle neck and itll be 4000 to see you to 330 bhp and then the internals will need doing @ 2000 quid ( rods, pistons etc)
so its a slippery slope mate .

i always thought to sort the handling out before any money went on power mods..because theres no point having all that power if you cant put it down properly?

so add another couple of grand for coil overs, ARB's etc lol:p

its getting expensive already:D

its funny caveo, this must be the 15th person I have seen on here asking this question (which is fair enough as they ar a newbie)

saying they want 300bhp.....and you can almost imagine the tumble weed blow by when the likes of you, me and other well known members on here bring on the reality and actually quote how much money it takes to get our cars to this sort of level, not just pure power, but handling included!

:D

I know I have spent more money on my car for what I bought it at (although I got it at a very good price), but I dont even want to begin to add it up:cry::D

EDIT: surprise surprise to see DK on here with this commission trade for AMD
