I'd have to agree with you in your case mate. I have no reason to complain about Seat aftercare personally but they shouldn't be fobbing anyone off for that sort of period of time!! Especially when all that's needed is a headrest!!!

Pretty poor customer service really. Is it the dealer or higher up the food chain?
They might not make that much actual money on a car, but at the end of the day it's 16k of your money which isn't pittance and it would be nice if they actually gave a toss.
I think customer service in most of the local VAG dealerships in Devon is pretty poor, with one or two noteworthy exceptions.
At the end of the day you don't bring your money back there in the future if they leave a bad taste in your mouth. I quite happily drive 45mins up the M5 now for any work as most of the local VAG dealers are so poor for customer service!
Which dealer did your Leon come from?

i had the same issue with my head unit. Didn't work from day 1 on a brand new car. Dealer "missed it" at the PDI apparently.

I got the "it's on back order line" after 8 weeks without a stereo on a new car I eventually lost my patience and called customer services (should have done it earlier really). Eventually got the dealer to take the one out of the show room car.

I found the dealer very poor but the customer services department pretty helpful actually. They called when they said they would and gave me status update calls.

bought mine on the internet , but had to go to lister's in birmingham to get it , went to smc in exeter at the time but they told me to get back in touch with listers , seems a bit daft to me thought it wouldn't matter where u get the car from after all its a seat and they are seat dealers ! does that mean i got to take it back to listers for a service !!! dont think so !!!

I've certainly gone to other dealers with warrenty work on other makes of car and never had a problem.

I've found SEAT Customer Services really good, they have sorted out any problems that I've had.
