Fault codes

I have been searching forums to get the low down on the Excess Pollution light-2001 Cupra-light came on whilst idling and have it checked and the code was PO172 mixture too rich.
Have read loads of posts about similar but not totally sure-went on VagCom site and it could be about 8 different things. Had light cleared and car runs perfectly was thinking of changing coolant sensor(if I knew where it was) as many posts refare to this a problem.

Just wondered if anyone had any other ideas or advice-I might just redex it!!!

i would wait and see if the fault code comes back, if it doesnt then it may just have been a little blip and nothing to worry about!

I was thinking that but am maybe wanting to get rid of it-wifes car now I had it for 60K-now its got 80K-but thinking of getting 4x4 truck to cope with dogs and camping stuff so we dont have to use two cars.
Wanted to get it sorted also need cam belt change if keeping much longer.
