Facelift / Pre-Facelift Cluster - FIS

Hello,

I am writing from France , I hope you will be indulgent for my English

I want to change my cluster on my Leon Fr. Actually I have dash with small screen

I read some topics who explain that is possible to upgrade to big MFA, understood that is fairly plug and play, just needed to recode the dash with VCDS and Vag Commander.

But I saw some videos on youtube from guys who have upgrade from standard cluster (small screen pre-facelift) to FIS facelift cluster ( Big white screen)

Has somebody any informations of this upgrade ?

Hello and welcome,

I would imagine you would need to find a new cluster, remove the old one, fit the new one and program this in with the appropriate software (probably a dealer job).

I doubt the car would be drivable until the cluster is programmed in and it will be expensive!

Hello Mike,

Yes I think that I have to extract the dump (immo block) from the old one and copy it to the new one with Vag k+Can
But I don't know if pre-facelift and facelift connections are the same.

Facelift/ pre-facelift clusters aren't easily interchangeable, it's a different connector and protocol. Someone's done it on a Mk5 Golf but I haven't seen it done on a Leon
