What do you guys use to clean your exhaust tailpipes? My R seems to be getting a thick layer of black stuff on them thats becoming difficult to remove. Any advice?

SILVO, its what Milltek recommend on their exhausts and it very good. I just cleaned the tail pipe on mine as it was getting a bit black. Worked a treat. Think I picked it up from HomeBase.

If you want a cheaper alternative, cif, a cloth and some elbow grease works just as good! I did mine in the summer and it got rid of all the black stuff, took a bit of time buy defo worth it and miles cheaper too!

I use DoDo Juice SuperNatural Metal Polish, its got sealant ingredients in it to IIRC so cleans and adds a layer of protection to help future cleaning. Generally all it needs now is soapy water on a mitt to get it clean again.

00 grade wire wool is useful to get the stubborn crap off too...
