Right since having my BF exhaust i have been over the moon with the sound and power it has given me. However last night when having 4 people in my car i put my foot down on the motorway and when it hit 3700rpm the noise changed and sounded like a chav exhaust the vibration was terrible but once i got to 4000rpm it was gone. At first i thought it was due to the car being under more load but it has done it since with only 2 people in the car,

What is wrong with my car now?

Did it drive and sound OK when it was just you in the car again? Or has it stayed sounding crap?

Mines the same. Sounds like something in the exhaust is vibrating, the sound is really overpowering (boomy) but only between 3000 to 4000 rpm. It doesn’t always do it either.

I hope it does get better. I’ve probably only done about 500 miles on mine as she only comes out at the weekend. I’ve noticed it seems to be when I’m driving rather steady then if I let the revs creep above 3000rpm it gets all “boomy” if I then drive hard it doesn’t do it.

mine has been on for about 2500-3000miles it never did it when first fitted and only did it when the weight of my car became more by having 4 adults in the car

Don’t want to upset anyone but I agree. Does your tail pipe sit to the left?

In fairness no, it fits perfectly, but the rattle is bad.........I dont want to dwell on it again, but blueflame didnt give 2 hoots about it when i called them, they rekon kids had put stones in it...good work as they never saw it !!!

Mines does this aswell and its really getting on my wick now:censored: - I have a Milltek system though but I guess the two systems would be similar? - I have been told it is the rear heatshield that is loose but the exhaust has to be removed to get to it:cry:

i dont think mine is a loose heat shield though mine sounds as though maybe a hole has appeared but only under heavy loading its hard to describe would prob be easier if i just took someone out in my car and see what they thought.

Ok thought of a way to describe it has anyone seen the video of the ITR on the rollers where you can hear the V-TEC kick in well with my car you have normal noise till about 3400rpm where the turbo kicks in then at 3800rpm you get this weird noise then it goes back to normal but it is that noticable its like the change in sound the V-TEC makes

Bf have had a few cracked DP's havent they...could it be this?
i think that issue was sorted out a while back. could the noise be down to the exhaust moving about under load? on my old car i replaced all the exhaust rubbers with poly versions and it stopped all rattling/movement.
