Hi guys, fitted my cat back exhaust a couple of weeks back and basically i find that wen the engine is running when i drive away im leaving pools of liquid directly below wer the joins are in the exhaust, the joins are tightly clamped but ive watched it and wen the engine gets warm it is dripping water, doesnt smell like fuel or anything different, i have only noticed it doing this since i fitted the exhaust, is it normal??

Did you use any exhaust sealent on the joints? The condensated water should exit through the tail pipe and shouldn't leak where the exhaust joins together.

agreed. leaking a little bit of water when first driving away (ie cold engine) is quite normal. However if it leaks from anywhere but backbox, that obviously tells you that exhaust fumes are leaking from there as well. Meaning you have a leak...

yeah i used some exhaust paste but obviously i missed bits(car was on axle stands when fitted exhaust) due to not being able to get under very easily, il av to take the lot off and reseal them properly then
