Think ive got that one so i will have a look.

Im going to a VW garage to see what they say as they have worked on LCRs before and done a couple of old golf engine bays.

that's not bad... depends what they'll do for that though (certainly it's a lot of work that'd need to be done)

THe guy went through it all and its allot of work for a car that has the engine in already, he said its a llot cheaper if its an engine transplant as they have to do most anyway.

Engine out
wires extended
chassi legs modded
new pipe work all over
bulk head welded and holes relocated
engine bay plates welded in
smoothing
re paint (once again i wa stold yellows a right pain)
Relocate battery, expansion tank etc etc

The guy was really intrested in doing it but i think £1500 is a bit much for me at the mo, mind you he did show me some air ride that i reeeeeeally liked!

so you guna get it done or wont you stretch to that far, what you willing to pay, i think its worth it as if you really want it

that's about a weeks work they've quoted at - sounds like they're suggesting a decent job though

no matter what you want if you want a proper job and want somthing that much you have to pay for it, never known a leon to have either so my view is would be worth it

For an out-and-out show car I think it's a fantastic idea. But for an everyday car that will spend 95% of it's life with the bonnet closed, is it really worth it?

Personal choice I guess though, that's what makes life so interesting :)

exactly if i was into that thing i would do it even tho the bonnet stays shut, word of mouth would be a good factor tho as others would want to see, or if you are keeping the car for a canny while

imagine it is alot of hard work like, just looking at it, you only get what you pay for, in ways tbh
