Model Year 23/24 Electric plug flap doesn't close in icing conditions

Hi,

It's been 4 or 5 times that I can't close the electric plug flap in icing conditions.
Each time our Formentor is being charged over night in cold / frosty conditions, I really struggle with closing the electric plug flap after removing the cable.
I need to spray some alcohol to defrost the inside of the flap. Surprisingly, the locking pin has a complete normal behavior, it fully stows and rotates when I push it.
Does anyone face the same problem and has found a solution?

Yes I had the same issue. it was just a case of warming up the push pin that the flap connects.

Hi,
On my side, I have no problem with the push pin. It's the flap that doesn't hook on the pin.
I'll check next time it's icy over here. But it seems there could be a kind of ice drop on the flap, where the push pin is to hook.

From what remember the pin twists 90 degrees as it is being pushed in and clips onto the flap. When it's cold / icy the pin pushes in, but does not twist.

That’s right. But mine twists perfectly.
That’s why I don’t understand what’s going wrong…
