Update time - 1 :p

A couple of weeks ago I got my replacement wind deflectors sent through and thankfully they weren't broken this time :D haha, so they're now on and looking pretty good..

Did anyone else who fitted these have any problems with the 'Auto close' on the windows? Mine seem to be OK now as if they needed to settle in their new position.

Do your wind reflectors not rub on the plastic/rubber sill on the outside of the door ? Mine needs some attention from the sander !

Thankyou mate, sorry I've only just got back to you, didn't even realise you'd posted on my thread lol.

I had mine fitted by Seat (would of done it myself but with something like that I wanted to be able to blame someone else if it went wrong haha, plus I didn't have anywhere to keep it dry for 24hrs). The kit comes with some strong adhesive in the box and they glue it directly onto the back face of the tailgate spoiler and tape it up to keep it in place, the threaded holes on the spoiler are there to allow someone to hold it while its been painted.

Great mod to do IMO, have you had yours done now?

They are actually off the car at the moment, I took them off to clean them properly when I washed my car and haven't put them back on yet. They went on pretty well tbh, didn't use the metal clips though and with time they became a bit loose and you could wiggle them about which was annoying lol

Hello Mate,

Thanks a lot! Done a few more mods recently that I need to update.

They're pretty easy to install tbh, you literally put the front end into the door lining where the window goes then gently bend the WD until you can get the other end in the back of the windo frame then work along pushing the middle of the WD into to window frame, apparently you're supposed to leave your windows up for around 24hrs before you open to allow the glue on the tape on them to stick properly.

Hope this was of help :)

I think the rubber of the door frame had stretched out a bit, but there are no noises or whistles when they're out so I would say they don't cause damage.

FMIC; While I had the bumper off I thought I might as well conduct some plastic surgery on all the plastic covering the intercooler, thus improving the airflow through it.

yeah mate getting the new mk7 golf later on this year need a diesel due to poor mpg from my mk5 ibiza but will still be on forum as my dad just bought a seat altea xl.

Sound mate, which TDI engine are you going for? What mpg was the Beeza giving you?
I know Fozzy is also looking at Mk7 Golfs, but the R model, wish I could afford 1! Lol
