Dump Valves

Ive been considering getting dump valves on my lcr. Now im a complete novice to car modding so just need a lil advice.

How much does it cost?
Does it effect fuel economy?
Apart from the funky noise, does it add anything else to car? performance?
Declare or not declare?
Does it add to insurance prem?
Good mod or not?

A blow-off valve cannot be used on the VAG 1.8T, you need a DV, such as the Forge 007P or Bailey DV30. If you want some noise fit an induction kit such as a K&N cone filter or Carbonio CAI, then you'll get lots of cool noises!

how much bhp does the filter add and how much are they?

Anything from £40 upwards, a filter will add maybe 5-8bhp but will improve throttle response and spool up, you'll get induction, turbo and dump sounds as well.

scarface i have been looking into doing this to mine and so i called me insurance and they said it would not go up at all. I think i will be getting a K and N induction kit and the forge dv. go on you tube and you car see some cars on there with this work done i think

i have the Dynatwist Induction kit and Forge Split R(Curse me i know) but sounds awsome to me always turns heads

There are some blow off valves made for the Engine now split R is one and i use a GFB 50/50 have done since April with no warning light at all
