Dub Culture Cupra R???

I absolutely love euro style or 'dub' cars as it's being put. I don't think there's anything better than a properly styled euro car. However, as a lot of people have said, I don't think the LCR suits the style very well.

My friend has a White Opel astravan, with 9.5J wide white banded steels, a bonnet bra, roof box and a grafitied bonnet. It looks so different but is one of my all time favourite cars. But I wouldn't want to do it to the LCR.

I don't think there are many wheels other than standard that suit the LCR, maybe BBS CH but loads of people have them.

I may get a rusted bonnet just for shows though :) :)

Joe, if I were you, and if it's what you want to do, do it! Being crazy and different is what 'dub' is all about!

This is not a very dub styled forum, there are others that are.

But i thought this was a seat forum and that ALL seats are welcome! just because you want to do something differant doesnt mean you should have to go somewhere else. Or is this gonna turn in to a site where you can only do 1 sort a style and if you dont do it your banned [:@]
Settle down.
all I'm saying is that this isn't, just now, a dub style forum. This is not saying it can't or won't be just thaqt just now it isn't and hasn't been.
All are welcome now and am sure in the future it will be the same. Were an nice accomadating bunch but theres has been no need or tolerance for aggression

.
Theres no need to stir **** and no one has said anything other than their own opinions

Everybody is welcome.... but bear in mind most regular posters on here tend to modify towards handling and power. Hence the opinions :)

Youd possibly get better ideas from a more dub experienced audience? Personally i think its good to see a mix of both styles of modification, we are all enthusiasts even if we dont always chase the same goals [B)]

i feel like i should shed some light on this matter, the DUB culture is for cars that are produced by VW and SEAT is one of them, personally i like that sort of style and i thought it would be different as i havent seen many cupra r's done in this way. but like they say each person to their own.
and just for the record i am planning on perfermance mods aswell :)

I personally think that the LCR suits Merc wheels quite well. There is a member on here with air-ride suspension that has these (just swapped them from BBS CH reps IIRC). It look very good but not sure if that's classed as DUB?

i dont hink it really matters if its "classed" as dub but i think that would look sweeeeeeeeeet, like i said there isnt really a "dress code" if you will for different styles and overall looks of mods but styles are always getting different and having new bits and bobs being used but i think people just use the word dub to represent a basic style orientation, if thats spelt correct lol

Well I really like the Merc wheels and if I was to DUB, i'd go down this route and hunt some AMG/Carlsson/Brabaus wheels that could fit. Sadly I won't be doing this to mine as I am considering going back to Jap in form of a Mitsi Lancer 8 while I can still get circa £8000 from my LCR. Never going back to NA lol.

Ignore these foools lol. Go to Edition38 website for all your "dubbing" needs. Although owning a Seat Leon you wont fit in as much as if you owned a Beefa of MK4 golf etc. I have a leon and get involved in the Dub scene. What most ignorant people dont realise that Dubbing is all about being subtle and keeping things as OEM as poss but improving on what is already good.
