hello

just wondering if anybody has got a cupra r and is into the dub culture?
I am wanting to start "dubbing" my cupra r but i am unsure as to where to start.

i have a few idea in mind of what i could do with it and ofcourse different colour options but if anybody has "dubbed" one could you give me any tips or opinions on what looks good or goes really well on this kind of car.

Any help will be appriciated. Thanks:D

Lol! I think he means euro/clean etc. Down and out and all that?

There are a few nice euro'd leons, not sure if they're LCRs though.

As for tips, not sure there are any, suppose it's down to personal taste. Get a bonnet bra, roof rack/box and deck it on coilies?

Dubbing and Dub Culture is for all car made by Volkswagon eg VW Audi Seat etc

the general style of it is the down and out (really low with stretch tyres)

if you have a look on the perfermance vw mag site im sure al will be understood lol.

i was thinking of getting a roof rack and box with both sprayed black and yellow checkers, along with bonnet bra deep dish chromies with stretch tyres and smoothed off boot.

i am wanting to lower it but again i dunno know wether to get coil overs or springs or what i would really like some air adjustables so if any one has any going spare :D:D:D lol

I'm not so sure the Leon copes with the 'dub' look as well as the early Golfs. Not to say you shouldn't do it as part of what makes modifications personal is that you can do what you want as it should be about your preference, and no one elses. As long as what you do doesn't seriously impact resale then go for your life, stretch the tyres on the rims and drop it low!

yeah i know its all about personal taste but i like to dub style and would like to take it to dub fest shows etc, i was thinking roof box to be a little bit different even though i have seen it done before lol. Mainly for the practibility for the car shows lol

Just don't put it on air bags....surely you want to keep some of the handling aspect lol.

Black and yellow chequered roof box would look good. As for the smoothed boot, just debadge everything apart from the Cupra and R badge, I've done it and it looks smooth.

Could also whack some crazy stickers on as well, always seems to go down well.

Anyone that wants to do this too the LCR should be put on the LCR offenders list and be banned from owning one.

LCR roof box!!!!!!! WTF :ban:

personally i think it looks ham shank, but thats just my opinon. There are a couple of cars on here that have a certain element of euro styling i'd say, a certain white one and a yellow for eg and they looks mint but the decked look with smaller wheels sticking out a mile is best left to polo's. Don't think it suits the LCR's looks personally

It’s a bit like owning a Rottveiller and dressing it in a pink bonnet or Roy Chubby Brown shagging Katherine Jenkins.
Some things are just plain wrong in my opinion.

I love the Euro Style, but the Leon struggles with it.
A few nice Leons are managing to pull off some parts of euro style - Deep Dish Wheels, Stretched Tyres, Car Bra or Smooth Bodywork, but i don't think any Leons have managed the complete look.

the LC looks better in the 'ard core euro look i recon. LCR suits itself and nothing else. Doesnt need anything else...

I agree. The LC has a smoother rear bumper which would suit the euro look more. The LCR looks a bit more agressive and doesn't really need any exterior styling, although I still think it would look nice if done properly
