Will keep that in mind, will see how i get on once i get her slammed!

Cool will plan on heading thru to a couple of them once i get the collies one

Yeah that is cool mate, tbh unless you go very low, most times you don't need the notch :) so might be lucky and get away with it

Yeah let me know mate, will come down and introduce you to the people (well tbh they will do that any way, great guys, like a family)

Yawnnn, if you actually knew anything about what was going on with the car instead of chucking comments about you would know that iv only actually been using the best in business and people who know what theyr talking about. Who deal with these kinda builds all the time not sit on the side lines going oh kids today they know nothing an if they dont do what i say or want its wrong. Its getting boring now

I wanted to reply to Willie's comment, but I knew i'd say something stupid like I normally do lol

Keep it up mate, I get moaned at all the time by people who know nothing about the car, but when they go in it/see it, their opinions change quickly :)

It's good to hear your getting properly advised on this.
Looking forward to seeing further progress on this project as its a break from the norm in every way.
Who ever said the status quo was the right way?
I don't like to follow others like sheep either and make my own informed decisions on things.
Everyone needs their mechanical confidants when breaking from the norm.
Who are you getting advised from about the LCR's set up?

Wooo rear collies are on, down to the max....not that low really but low enough for the wheels.

Decided to do it ghetto style in the car park with my two mates EK9s(both of which destroy evos track like they are nothing...track EK9 project next year...?) This was so much more fun doing it this way shouting things in the middle of the car park and getting in strange positions to get bolts off. Doing the fronts today....fun fun fun

 Can't everybody just leave people to do stuff themselves unless they ask for advice, this car is fooking sweet, he's clearly stated he's not fussed about it handling like a boat!if i had some dorra bill i'd sacrfice anything to have those merc rims!not everybody here is building a track slag!:lol:And just to not get anybody angry, all these motors are sweet as anyway, just people like doing there own thing to them and good on you pal for being different. When funds allow and im not a poor student trying to pay for just insurance on my lcr i will be doing the same!:D

Well managed to get one front coilover done today...kinda. Stupid piece crap was uttered more than once.

Who ever put the weitecs on didnt want them coming off, every bolt was a mission the drop link bolts where so stiff got pissed off and just wrecked the drop link to get it off, oops. Better order some new ones suppse.

Also it aint as low as i want so taking that 1st little spring out as its totally compressed anyway and taking couple the bumpstops out

Derek, if you take out the helper spring (what its called) out, you will bounce like mr blobby lol

And don't take bump stops totally out, just chop them down (as you don't wanna destroy some KW Variants mate)

Also look into ways to get extra lows, on the bora/mk4 golf, people use polo top mounts, it gives and extra 10-15mm drop dude, etc.

Might work on the leon, seeing as you can put coilies from mk4 golfs onto leons and vice versa (IIRC)
(Will send you the link later)

Ps there is a megameet in Sutton Coldfield today dude, look in the local meets (where you put a rolling road thread)

There is about 3 bumpstops on them, says you can remove them as you want, think gonna take the two black ones out leave the main one as it is for now.

What does the helper spring do just seems to be fully crushed on mine? Will just get them on this week as i want to drive to Early edition, maybe find some mk4 boys for chat.

I was meant to head to that meet tonight but went to a massive honda meet instead today, gutted looked good to

oh, they are different from my coilies then dude.

Helper spring keeps the spring seated when jacked up/when compression is lost (over bumps etc)
They might be fully compressed, but once removed, it becomes bouncier and can cause the coilie to break/leak (breaking the seals, as it was not made to go that low)

So I would either get coilies that go lower, or look at ways to drop it more without helper removal :)
