Driving me mad

As i live in Speed bump city, my cupra has to climb over quite a few of these blighter's! Ive noticed a noise coming from my back suspension. Its sound's like rubber being compressed and only does it when the suspension is compressed (squashed up) coming off speed bump's etc. Anyone had the same prob?

Had the same problem with my C2 but that was from the front, never found what it was though. Not had the same problem with my cupra

You sure it's not the rubber mounting for the back seats moving around with the body flexing as it goes over the bump?

I think I might have the same noise when going over speedbumps in the works' car park. I've just become oblivious to it or turn the radio up.

Mine occasionally squeeks when i go over speed bumps in the cold weather, i think it might be the bushes, but i may be wrong.

The only thing i can think it might be is the top mount's on the shocker's!?

rubber rings on the back bushes are causing the problem. Well known problem

Since changing my shocks, I get a bit of a rubbery noise from the rear over big bumps, must just be the different rubber bushes.

I think he means the bushes on the rear shocks.

I've noticed that in my Cupra, is it a warrenty issue or would it be put down to wear and tear and would i have to pay to get it sorted?

I've actually taken mine into the garage this morning to have it's lights sorted and this noise looked at. It doesn't always do it, some days it will be fine. It actually got so bad I chucked my moby in the back and managed to record it so the garage could hear for themselves how bad it gets!

don't know exactly where they are but the garages over here have known about this for a whiel. One remedy is to remove them the other is to grease the rings. Have to get onto a mechanic here in holland about where they are.

They are on the top of the shocker, right in the top of the rear wheel arch. Orange in colour i think.

Or i notice there is this rubber cup above the spring also!?

squeak

My 2001 ibiza squeaks alot from the rear end when i get in & out, but im not fat so it cant be that... sounds bit like the handbrake isnt fully up & the brakes squeaking, but im sure its sommin to do with the suspension...
