Ok driving my CUPRA R 03 210
theres like a repeating noise fromthe front drivers wheel, a bit like a wheel bearing noise but not as smooth and much more weight on it. also when coming to a stop just as im about to the ABS kicks in and you can fel it in the same area.?
Any ideas.

oh also sometimes when revesring i can hear a click noise from that area too.

been told it could be three of these things
1. Wheel bearing
2. ABS spring?(What is that?)
3. Brake Pads.

Any other suggestions.!

thanks

Thanks for the reply.
got my mechanic to test it out the abs kicking in when i brake is definitely an ABS sensor playing up! i was told these are about £20 from GSF is that right?

But he said teh noise is more like a wheel bearing which also could cause the sensor to play up! This i also about £20 as i was told from GSF, need to confirm this.

Wheel bearing will only cause this fault if there is play in it. A noisy whell bearing will not affect the abs sensor. You can test abs sensors with vag com on channel 1 in data stream in abs this will show all 4 sensors a short road test will reveal if the sensor is faulty.

dont have vag com anymore used to got rid of the lead etc, and dont know anyone local. ive put a new thread on as i had the car checked out by my mechanic and he definitely said teh bearings playing up. and hence definitely the sensor is out too! so next step is to egt a new bearing,
has anyone got a breakdown pic from etka of teh wheel area etc.
