The drivers door is not unlocking through the key fob but will lock. Key unlocks drivers door on first press then all doors on 2nd press. 2nd press is working and all doors opening (accept drivers). Use key to unlock, then lock car with fob and car locks up no problem. Anyone any ideas?

Thanks

Im having a similar problem with my Leon FR. Drivers door unlocks on one press of key fob(usual), a double press of the key fob and all doors unlock except the passenger front. When i open the door from inside it then continues to open until locked and tried to access from outside. Did the battery change work?

If you are experciencing this fault then the drivers / paasengers door locking module will need replacing.

Same thing happened to mine , mine started unlocking every now and again , got worse until the point it didnt unlock anymore.
And would constantly click to try and lock going at slow speeds , the anti hijack program trying to lock the doors.

Its quite an easy job to change it over but fiidly to take the lock out , i sourced one from a breakers for about £45 , a new one would cost around £140.
Fitting would be about an hour so add on an hourly rate of a dealer on top.

No coding is required , so if they say its needs to be coded they are talking rubbish and trying to rip you off.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but mines has started being annoying.

Anyone got the part number for the door control module? Can't be the battery in the fob again, it's less than 6 months old.

See I keep getting told they need coding, got a 2nd hand unit off Ebay plugged it in and it didnt work at all but it didnt look in very good condition to be fair.

I'm still fighting with mine.

Part number is 1K0959793 L on mine

Getting mine sorted by my local independent VW specialist (PM me if your in the Guildford area) cheaper than a stealer.

FYI guys my boot kept opening every time I unlocked the car (whilst my drivers door wouldn't open), turns out the two wire plug under the boot release was full of water its unrelated but if anyone has that odd fault look in the boot lock.

I still dont know where the water is getting in though :(

so..................

went to move car out of work car park, driver door doesn't unlock.

went into my office, took key fob apart, put it back together again, and hey presto! it worked. so i'm thinking loose connection or contact inside fob.

weird how it sends signal to unlock all other doors though.

hhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......
