Its a worry dave as im running a 175cc and you have alot more power. I remember John saying WMI should be 15% of the fuel thats injected. Have you worked out what this figure is for you Dave? I worked mine out to be needing a 210 CC nozzel.

Isnt your airflow very low?:confused:

I use USRT's calculator to work out nozzle size, Nick. See this thread.

My airflow is right - we calculated a year ago that my MAF under-reads by about 6%. My max airflow is probably about 248 g/s.

The old reading Nick prompted me to do has got me thinking......


Snow colour code their nozzles.
Green = 175 cc
Purple = 225 cc
Blue = 630 cc.
(They do others)

The 'purple' one looks huge to me in comparison to the 175cc green - what do you think? :blink:

The threads are looking a bit mashed there Dave.
Also these look like UNC threads not a pipe connection like NPT or BSP.
How do the manufacturer's suggest you seal this nozzles?

No the threads aren't mashed, Willie.
The nozzle screws into a housing. The assembly then screws into a plastic boss. The threads are sealed with methanol resistant Gloop. That's what you can see on the threads.

hope you get it sorted dave... it does seem a little strange.

why not buy a devils own nozzle dave? ive just had an idea to mount them that is so easy.

Looks very big dave, but there is a piece of metal inside the nozzle that contributes to how much its flows as well (well its does with the Devils).

Another question, on this Calculator "Nozzle size @ psig" do i select what nozzle im using? I though this was supposed to recommend you one? Or is this how much your nozzle is flowing at the PSI you are using it at? Then you can look at actual nozzle flow and Recommended nozzle flow. I think i have answerd my own question but will post this up anyway for everyone to read.

Acording to this i need a 224 nozzle

and then a stainless holder, which will be 40mm long 25mm diameter with two 1/4? npt threads , one in each end... one to take the devils nozzle and the other we would need to buy a 1/4 to 1/4 push in.

it would make swapping nozzles and positions so easy

I dont think the Devils nozzle would work like that, if you have the nozzle set 35mm back in a thread it would surly form big droplets. Dont forget the Devils nozzles are threaded both ends so you could screw them in like hte snow.

youre misunderstanding how it works buddy... the nozzle would not be set back at all, it would sit proud of the end of the stainless and you would change how much it sticks out into the flow by undoing the jubillee.
