after having this come on every other month when I had a PD im going to bet 20 gold stars on it being a faulty lambda sensor, dont worry about it, it will go off when it feels like it or cost ya about £50 to fix at a stealers, for about 6 months.

No you wont, thats the DPF differential pressure sensor not lambda sensor, you will need a new one fitting and adapting to the car, seen many a blocked DPF from these sensors being faulty, alot of the time they don't show a fault either its only by testing them you can be sure.
op - I can test, replace and regenerate if your local?

I concede defeat im thinking of an oxygen pressure sensor. Either way to the op, just rip your dpf off, that way you won't worry about either and its not like your under warranty anymore
So would you recommend changing it to be safe even though the light is now out? Unfortunetely i live between Scotland and Oxford so not local to you mate or that would have been great. Is it normally an expence to have done?
Also, it was stated earlier in this thread that there are two sensors on this car, which would should be changed? I believe there is one top left of the engine bay, is this the normal culprit?
Thanks again for all the help.
In an ideal world you want it testing and DPF ash level checking too etc and it needs adapting to the car when fitted. As your looking into the engine bay its on the left towards the back. IIRC the part is about £60 give or take so add labour onto that. Ignore the 2 sensors thing, your car has loads of different sensors!
I couldn't so without my eBay OBD2 wifi adapter and DashCommand on my phone. Best 50 odd quid ever spent on car stuff.
Have read so many error codes on my own and other people's cars.
Never left guessing what the prob is
