That answers a question I had. I was out for a blast last night and on one corner it felt like the back end was trying to roll me over taking the front end with it.
Mines a 1.9 Tdi Mk1. and I want to improve the handling. The other questions I've got are:
1. How much benefit in changing the front ARB up/down in size
2. How much benefit in adding a rear ARB ?
Most of the searches I've done have all talked about LCRs. I'm thinking of changing the suspension to a better one (and yes, I've read all the threads on coilovers and I don't have the time or the expertise to set them up myself) and I'm comtemplating the impact of doing the ARBs at the same time.
If anyone can point me at any threads or offer up useful suggestions, I would be grateful.
See if you can pick up some LCR OEM shocks and spring, these aren't the best but at about £100 there well cheaper than anything else you can get.
To this fit an S3 strutt brace, MK4 R32 23mm front ARB and 28mm Neuspeed rear ARB.
This lot will set you back about £500 including 4 wheel alignment but you will be very impressed with the composure of your handling and a decent set of shock and sping would be about the same price
Then save up or keep your eye out for 2nd hand LCR coilovers, jobs a good un
Also good rubber with proper pressure will make a huge difference
