Diagnosis Light On

Hi

Just brought my Ibiza Cupra today and the diagnosis light has just came on!

Id driven over 100 miles in the hot weather to get it back home and it wasnt on. Then took it out again and the light came on.

Anyone know what the problem could be.
(I did do a search but being a complete newbie i havent got a clue.)

you either need to take it back to the dealer or have someone local on here to run vagcom on it, im sure its not going to be a problem that cant be easily solved.

first day of ownership and a fault code appears! Gutted!

say where your from, someone will probably be local to you and help you out

Got it sorted.

Took it to a dealer and it turns out the was some air that had got into the fuel. They reset it and is now fine.

The diagnosis light can come on for a number of reasons, so its always good to have someone local who has Vagcom to check for you, as opposed to having to go to the dealers who will more often than not, be an expensive route, as they'll probably end up telling you, somethings wrong to get money out of you.

The lights come back on again!

Ive booked it in with the dealer on Friday to sort it.

Hope this isnt a sign of things to come. Ive had my Cupra for 3 days now and this is the second time this has happened.

The thing that really annoys me though is that i spent over £200 for the rac to do an inspection on the car before i brought it to make sure i dont buy a turd and this happens!

they are very tempermental cars, most of the time its not very bad and easily fixed

an RAC check wont cover things that will cause a fault to appear
