I have been fiddling with the diesel/propane/NOS mixture which has seemed to work quite well if these figures are correct. When these power at the wheel figures are converted to flywheel figures my car is now making about 335-340ish bhp and 550-570lb torque ! Torque figure does seem quite high to me but will have to try out the new fuel mixture on another dyno to compare. If anyone has any comments good or bad please feel free to post them.

Nices figures Mike indeed.

Would be nice to see how the power is held up into the upper rev range say 5000-6000rpm. Seems to holding power well but the rr operator seems to have lifted off at 4250rpm.

Does the map have to be tweaked to take into account the new Nos/propoane combo or does it not matter?

More importantly, how does it drive?

Is it a bit all or nothing with power like that? Any lag? Hazard a guess at a 60 sprint?

Or does it just eat everything on the road and still get 45mpg?

Also what problem do people hit tuning the 2.0tdi? I hear something mentioned a lot, but cant remember what it is

4250 rpm ? wheres the rest of it ? :)

nice bit of grunt though

Don`t know to tell the truth ? Jeff was running the cars on the rollers and me and him didn`t get on very well when he tried to run my car in 2WD without asking me then screwed up putting the fuse back in properly and had to go into VAG COM to sort out the problem and all the errors he brought up. He also didn`t like it when i told him how to run my car properly since he just sat in my car with a face like a dog chewing a wasp. He will not be running my car next time it goes on Awesome`s RR. :w4nk:

Jeff was acting like a tit and lifted off at the read line not when the rev limiter cut in like i told him to. Map hasn`t been tweaked just me and my butt dyno playing around with the propane and nos that was added to the base map.

Power starts to come in strong from 2K then is level from about 3K onwards so deffo not all or nothing. I took T Spark for a quick blast if you want a second opion. My car doesn`t eat everything on the road as there are a lot of cars with more then 263 bhp at the wheels but the torque is very nice. Main problem with tuning a PD140 is nobody has done it before other then a remap etc so it`s all a bit of trail and error and a lot of custom ie exspensive parts. You might be thinking about when people tune the PD170 which had a DPF fitted which needed to be removed before any proper tuning can be done to it which very few people in the world can do.

Crazy stuff indeed! What kind of figures are you pulling without the silly gasses?
2.0TDI's have been known to be more sensible on major power upgrades - but yours certainly seems to prove otherwise.
Good luck on the engine and and keep it going!

Did you do a stock/standard rr run as well?

What do you call stock/standard ? This was done at a SCN RR day a few weeks ago. Below is some links with my car on another RR running different setups from earlier on in the year.
Just diesel.

Diesel and propane.

Diesel/propane with just NOS added on top with no fuel alterations for the NOS which comes in at 20 PSI boost.

Thanks for the dynos... What I meant was if you ever did put the car on the rollers as came out of factory? In order to have a proper idea of total gains had with your current more powerful setup. It had to be on the same rr of course.

Does the quattro system handle well the mighty torque it has to handle?

Nice figures there mate, probably be approx 310 and 480lbft at the fly.

I bet it goes well enough!

My car on the same RR as above when two weeks old from the dealers and totally stock.

I am really glad i went for a 4WD car as the grip is fantastic, i would hate to have this set up on a FWD car as it would be wasted with the tyres spinning trying to get grip most of the time. The haldrex system is great with only a slight chirp from the tyres when i drive hard.

hi there! great project, but i'm interested in tuning without nitro and propane... so, could you tell me what kind of hibrid turbo do you have, and what other changes have you done except nitro and propane? thank you
