Ok Ok ! I should have held off cutting the wires to the lambda even tho we thought they were now defunct!
My mate did suggest tracing the loom back to the ecu control box modular enginemanagement device and removing the pins but i wasn't happy about poking about in case he damaged a pin or something so we went the "chop" route. My mate did do his Renault ok tho and i sounds superb!!
If i post pics of what we did can you guys advise the next course of action?

First thing you should do is kick your mate in the balls and not let him near a car again. Then go to your rainy day fund, 'cos guess what? Its pouring down. Then take it to a garage and brace yourself for the estimate for parts and fitting.

Ta Reg & Arosa Racer-should have asked advice b4 "Bashing" but we thought the turbo would squeak more with the honeycomb out & improve general breathing not the mention the high torque that would be gained. The damm muppet! : ( your conversion looks nice but i wonder if a MOT inspector might guess what you did. At least mine looks as it left the factory in Spain (especially if i use blue insulating tape as Seat does on some of the o.e. wiring on the car)
Gonna have to visit my dealer & bite the bullet and buy some probes unless i can source some from Ebay.
Do you know if i need any special probes or are any SEAT ones ok to use? I suppose the threads are the same coz the cat looks similar to a 1.6 like my uncle's got

it's OK - as it'll totally fail the MOT with the wires cut...

however, even with the probes in you will still have dash lights.

Nowt to do with what it looks like, everything to do with the emissions that is reads coming out of the end of the exhaust.

Might be worth a trip to a local scrappy or trying online for a breakers?
If you can get the whole lot for a good price your mate can help stick it all back on with some blue tac and pritt stick ;)

do you think your mate can have a look at my car
i bought a power resistor of ebay (no ordinary resistor extra 80bhp) but im havin problems were to fit it please could you ask your mate
the engine light has come on because the wires you sellotaped have probably come apart (recent bad weather) solder the wires together and wrap them in insulation tape that should do the job
what did you use to block the holes off i found glow plugs of a mazda 2 to be a perfect fit
if your still geting problems get your mate to take the bulb out the cluster

Hi Rick C . Whats a DV ?? Don't you mean DVD?

Dump Valve, makes a tshhhhhhh noise ? no?

forget all what you know about turbo cars the 1.8t is a total arse, with all the sensors etc, if you fart and you dont have it in the correct gear the MAF will explode or youll wreck a coil pack lol

No no, sounds like your 'mate' knows exactly what he's doing

Darwin's theory of evolution was written based on people like you. How you and your 'mate' have avoided natural selection is beyond me.

pmsl  that is awesome ^^^^^

best bet is a scrappy to source the parts, theres one on ebay, called motors in motion mainly deals in the VAG range

I had my reservations when he advised to polish and wax a car before washing it..... Suppose cutting sensors would make sense when you take that advice into account :)
