Steering wheel would be interesting. What would the grip be like?? And I'd love you see you drive your car without a steering wheel for 7 days.

I think it would feel lovely, however it would probably wear easily and would get dirty fairly quickly. Middle of the wheel would be good though.

Yeah I would definitely need a replacement for a week or so haha

Very small update.

Had a spare hour so thought I would fly-eye my fogs, simple job. Wanted to do headlights but think I would make a better job with them off the car so will do them later on this month hopefully.

Excuse the state of the car, hasn't been washed since October.

Getting a PPI refund in a week or so, so there might be a few more updates soon.

Looks good. Regarding the headlights, you realise that to take them off the bumper has to be removed. Lots of effort to get a slightly better finish on the headlights.

Yeah I know the bumper has to come off, but I tried with the headlights on the car and I just couldn't get the fly eye stuff to sit without creases etc and I don't mind having to take the bumper off.

Haven't updated this in a while, due to not doing much to the car. There will be a few more updates soon.

I did manage to de-badge the boot though last week.

So today I fitted my new Cupra pedals. Really easy to do, took about 20 mins. Bought them off a seller on eBay new for £49.99 which is great as they go for more than double that.

Haven't driven the car for 6 weeks as recovering from an operation.

Should have washed it today with the weather being so nice but mowed the lawn instead lol.

MOT due in a week.

While I cant drive it I might as well take the bumper off and fly eye the headlights. Might be a job for later in the week, just need to order some fly eye stuff.

Next on my list is H&R springs, FL climate control and hopefully taking the mirror caps and grill to be sprayed professionally.

Another small update.

I finished my interior LED bulb conversion today. Well.....I actually fitted the majority of these weeks ago, however I somehow broke my front interior light and the rear was missing the knob to change the lighting options. I got my new rear light unit this morning so fitted it about an hour ago.

Such a simple mod and freshens up the interior.

Only took one before pic to show how yellow the standard bulbs are.

They do look slightly different shades in the pics and I think this might be because they were bought from several different sellers.

Haven't had chance to see what they're like on a night as mentioned above I haven't used the car for 6 weeks.

So today I gave the FR a mini detail and minor machine polish today, which it was long overdue.

I started by snow foaming the car using my gilmour foam gun & rinsing with the hose x2

I then washed it with AG shampoo using a Meguires wash mitt and the two bucket method. After that I rinsed the car again and put a second lot of Bilberry wheel cleaner on the wheels, while the Bilberry was doing its thing I dried the rest of the car using a Poorboys waffle weave towel before cleaning the wheels.

This left me with this.

DAE8956A-29D3-45F9-AE30-305AB6DAD8C2.jpg

I then clayed the bonnet an set about polishing it using my rotary polisher &
Poorboys SSR polish.

Couldn't resist missing a good photo opportunity.

After I had done the bonnet I thought best to leave the machine polishing as it was getting on to about 5pm, so I gave it a coat of Poorboys black hole (great stuff) and then a coat of Nattys pink paste wax. To finish I used some AG metal polish on the exhaust & put some Megs tyre gel on the tyres.

Will do, I've also got Footwell LED's and having a go at installing some DRL's.

All the parts were installed over the weekend. The FlyEyes Kit went on in about 30 mins, found it easier to remove the rear lights. All the pictures are on my RR.
