i totaly agree! Total VAG did mine without asking.. i put it st8 back to how it was!!

[:@]i had to w8 4 months for my egt.. god im p***d of with cars at the moment.

yeh they do have an adjustable spring due to the nature of how the DV works.

Im running in full recerc.

Do you understand where im comming from with that boost on both sides of the piston? or am i talking jibber jabber?

I think it would have presure on both side's because it recircs the air, although the presuer would be greater on one side than the other, now I'm confused

No i dont mean that side.. that side wont have boost as its pre turbo.. i mean the top of the DV and the post turbo side!! Small pipe and one of the big pipes.. (not the pipe thats on the TIP)

Well boost flows to the top of the DV (as this is where most people put there boot gauge) and it obviously boosts the other side... so.... presure should be even?

Yeah mate I'v got one and never had any problems with it, Mine boosts to 1.7 bar and settles to 1.5 bar and it hold's the boost.

If you pull the pipe off the FPR and put the T peice on it with about 2" of your other pipe going to the FPR you wont have to cut the O/E pipe, so you can put it back if it dont work, I'v got a picture somewhere.

Kenny did say what was I thinking when I got it but it runs fine on mine so I'm happy with it for now, I did notice a big difference when I changed it to full recirc though.

This is where I took the feed for my boost guage

There was also some confusion about which way round the Split-R should be fitted, this how mine was fitted and it's not given any problems.

Good new mate i think its all sorted!!! Drove it yesterday and it felt all good, then reset the MPG and managed 40 mpg over 4 miles at 60-70 so looks fully sorted!! Might take it down to AMD to get it dyno'd and get them to run all there diagnostics on it. See if there happy with how its running!!!
