New member here got a VZ2 on order which I put in at the start of May. Reading online and in these forums, I have absolutely no faith in receiving it in time. First dealer told me July but found a local dealer with a better price. My current car is being returned in July and if what I read is correct being October/November delivery then I won’t have an option but to cancel it

Hi, I'm due to get my Black V2 1.5 in 2-3 weeks (stock model), I can't wait, no idea how some of you have the patience for factory orders.
The Formentors the first car I've seen thats as different to other cars as the Civics have been. My first non-Honda in 10yrs or so.
I saw a silver one (the first I've seen on the road) this evening leaving Worcs, certainly stands out.
It's been really handy to read through the threads.

I know there’s a few out there that have had build weeks bumped significantly but mine was built on the right week and has left the factory so there is hope

I’m hoping this is the case. Spoke to leasing company yesterday, who contacted dealer on my behalf and no build date allocated as of yet. Ordered end of April and was told 12/14 weeks.

Looks stunning. I envy you guys that went with matt colors. I was too cautious about it and ordered metallic.

I will be completely honest... I couldn't justify the cost of having matte, and although I like to clean my own cars, I think the matte paint would just be too much hassle to maintain. You keep common contaminants like bird poop and bugs on too long, it can etch through the matte and into the colour. Not sure on the exact amount of time but I wouldnt risk it.

Exactly, I wouldnt say I am lazy with my cars... but sometimes I am just too busy with kids, work etc. I drove to Bristol on the weekend and the front of my car is covered in bugs. Won't be able to clean it until the weekend, but with my ceramic coating on metallic paint, it'll come off no problems.

Afternoon all. Just joined this forum after coming across it yesterday and reading all 300+ posts.
I became slightly obsessed (my wife's words) with the Formentor a few weeks ago when I saw one parked outside my local offy. Although I hadn't planned to change my motor (got a Tiguan) I searched for some videos and reviews and decided I had to have one! After much coaxing, the missus came round and I finally put the order in yesterday, for a VZ2. I couldn't justify the sunroof or matte paint though...
Anyway, I'm like a little kid waiting for Christmas now and will have to sit almost as long...delivery isn't due till November, which is a bummer.

OK, a little late to the Cupra owners party, I ordered mine three weeks ago, a matt black VZ2 310 due for delivery on 30/10/2021. (We'll see?!?)
I'm like a (56 year old) kid. Can't wait after having test driven one at Letchworth Cupra. Great dealership by the way.

Collected my VZ2 HYBRID this week and drove back to Belfast. It is a dream (had to take a temporary English plate due to a paperwork issue, will have the cherished plate on soon).

Looks great!! That’s the colour I’ve gone for on VZ3. Ordered end of April and still no build date. The waits killing me. Enjoy having to talk to ramdoms about what car you drive

Indeed it is!, was kept in the loop on regular basis since placing order on 1st May. Was told car was due to arrive at dealers between 5th and 7th so getting a week early is a nice surprise.
