Yeh, exactly, the glove box ones aren't really helpful at all unless you're parked up. I had some saab ones which fit perfectly into my old golf, just wondered if anyone knew any similar adaptations for the beeza. Although give it a while and I'm sure I'll think of some kind of contraption to fashion up...

id say with a bit of tinkering and cutting you could fit a leon cupra cup holder into the dash, the actual bits arnt that expensive, its the time it would take to actually fabricate it that would be frustrating.

Don't suppose you have a pic handy? I've never been in a leon so I've no idea how their holders look. Might go forage on ebay so what I can find :)
cheers for the pointer

They're not proper cup holders, just small round indentations maybe a centimetre or so. When you open the door to the glovebox they should be on the inside surface of that. Dunno if they were on all specs but I've had them in all my ibizas.

@kid709394:
on higher spec models with a passenger-side airbag, there is no glovebox cos that's where the airbag goes...

As far as I can make out, the dash is pretty much identical to the Polo of a similar age. My girlfriend has the polo with a glovebox, and tbh there's not a lot of space above it in the dash.

it is indeed lack of storage space in the cupra, i want a cup holder badly, but i dun want those screw in type offered on ebay, i just want a proper stock accessories... i dun even mind to have those hang on the air vent as long as it has SEAT logo on it. there are also arm rest available on ebay, but i just want something more like a stock item.
anyone can hook me up with something? it would be great... want a orginial Cupra car mat too, cost like 40pounds itself but 40 pounds for postage to australia. my god....

wouldn't recommend the air vent clip holders, with enough of a jolt and a weighty drink in them they've been known to fall out... and it's not fun cleaning up dried coke from your dash!

Personally I think short of fashioning something yourself those fold-down holders are probably the cheapest quickest and simplest option, fiver from ebay i think and you could screw them to the side of the gearstick area somewhere. Close enough to reach, and out of the way. Still formulating my plan though... :think:

The Audi TT has a cup holder that screws down behind the seats in the centre section bit. This could solve your problem by putting it behind the handbrake.

This is one with an arm rest, but if there is no arm rest it is a double cup holder.
