Finally..............after months (actually must be nearly a year now) of bitching to my local dealer about the problems I have selecting second gear, and them saying "It doesn't happen when we drive it", they have eventually agreed to replace my gearbox under warranty, the car is in the garage as I type

i guess its when you can feel when its going to grind and press the clutch down again before it does to catch it.. i've recently become quite good at this seen as 2nd to 3rd gear can be a bit temperamental on my car. I can feel it when the gear lever doesn't quite slot all the the way into 3rd so just as im lifting the clutch pedal i quickly press it down again to save the grind! Such a horrible noise, feels like something breaks when it happens

Mine is very much the same I think the worst one is when I go round the roundabout into a hill on the exit and crunch!!! Ouch!!! I hate it although am starting to get better at catching it a year on.....

Ah yes now I think of it I have had this happen a couple of times, I forget its happened 5 mins later, thought it was my driving!

Finally got my car back and I now have the use of second gear again
