In front of a PC....
how long did the job take? i'm driving down to England in 2 weeks and fancy having this to make the journey easier.

I should pick the phone up myself, but I'm lazy.

Took just over an hour (I had other things checked whilst I was there too)
There is a waiting room in Star where you can watch TV or play XBox whilst you are waiting so its not too bad a wait.

Phoned Bedrock Veedubs, they don't it either. He said its not as simple as Fitting the parts then turning on with VAGcom. Which i thought strange since i found this guide for a Fabia clicky

Which i think is beyond my very limited abilities.

I've spoken to a couple of guys who have fitted it to the Ibiza and Fabia... I'd do it myself but don't fancy the idea of tampering with ECU wires.

I beleive its a case of fitting the stalk, running a wire to the ECU then enabling with VAG-COM ... I don't see any other way it would be done?

Hmm - I just seen the JBS thread and it seems it isn't £150 afterall... god knows where I got that idea from!

Hi Guys

Just to let you know the Leon Chassis you can buy a wiring loom for the cruise control system this is why it is much cheaper than the Ibiza.

The Ibiza we have to make up a wiring loom up from scratch as last time I checked you could not buy it. On the Ibiza it is a little more difficult to make it look factory fit as you have to remove a few more panels and with the custom made wiring loom you have to install it following other wiring.

Mike

I had my Leon done at JBS and they got it done in an hour and its never let me down.
Its meant to be an easy enough DIY job, but its one i'd rather leave to the pro's due to the airbag. Paying someone a labour charge is far nicer than shelling out for a new airbag and not being able to drive your car for a few days ;)

true true Davey, you got a number for JBS, also did you buy the unit and lead 1st, or did they sort it all out, also costings for the fitting.

There were a few guides around to DIY'ing this a while back. (On a TDI)

But searching here, all I find is dead links now.

Anyone got one/know where there is one?

Any chance the instructions can be pasted here? I really hate it when you have to become a member of a forum to view posts.

Cheers ;)
