Crashy ride

Can anything be done about the ride on my car? I'm constantly trying to dodge bumps and i must look drunk from behind! Don't want to spend much but want a slightly smother ride . . . . Or do i trade it for a jag?

Whats up, is she too low ir too bouncy? YOu wont get any better unless you put stock leon set up on it but then it will be very boat like. Maybe a have a look at koni FSD's as they adapt to the road

its a LCR and all is standard

However, sometimes i feel like i'm denting my alloys if i go over a bump or man hole cover.

I dont like bumps as they produce rattles

i've never had stiff suspension, i had a 306 2.0 16v XSI previously so maybe i've been spoilt by soft suspension?

i understand what your saying, somtimes feel like ive ripped a wheel off my LC going over bumps

just a case of getting used to it mate

i also find the fast you go the quicker you can dodge things and the smoother it is

Its just the way LCR's are I'm afraid, but I know what you mean. I actively avoid lumps and bumps I can see because it makes me wince when you get that horrible crash come through the car. Its always going to be a compromise between comfort and handling, until more cars run active adaptive suspension.

FSD's are the way to go mate. I have just had them put on my LCR with Eibach springs lowering 25mm and this is slightly fermer but most definitely a lot less crashy and definitely worth the money...

Better than OEM shocks for sure...

I'm glad other people feel the same as me
It feels like i've slapped my mother when i hit a big one .... they aren't actually that big, its just the bumps are kryptonite to the cupra

FSD's are around £300+ springs i think

I'm getting quite good at it now

If i ever try out the FSD's on someone elses Leon then i might have my mind changed

Roads in Leeds are that bad (probably similar, if not better standard in Kabul) that I looked like I'm pissed most of the time driving round, swerving all over the place avoiding bumps.

Gonna get pulled one day for mentalist driving!
