Fuel Economy and Ride Comfort

Evening all - I have been looking at purchasing a Formentor for some time but i am dissuaded by the reported poor MPG. Having had a Leon FR 184 diesel previously returning 50mpg. Please can someone advise, I assume the best is the 1.5 TSI 150BHP ( Manual)? ( not wanting to go for a PHEV but am semi interested in the 1.4 EHybrid)

Could you also comment on ride comfort? V1 only have 18 rims, with the V2 19" but the V2 come with the adjustable suspension apparently which i assume would allow for a kinder / softer ride quality. I know this is a bit subjective but my Leon FR on 18" rims and 40mm tyres was a right bone shaker and i don't want to repeat the same mistake. Thanks very much!

Worth having a read of the discussion topic at the link below. Bear in mind that the Formentor is quite a heavy car so with a 1.5 engine, the engine will work quite hard under certain conditions such as accelerating and overtaking. That could have a negative impact on achieving good fuel consumption.
